    RMGCSA Stipend Awards

    Rocky Mountain Golf Course Superintendents Association Annual Conference Stipend

    The Rocky Mountain Golf Course Superintendents Association (RMGCSA) is proud to demonstrate its continued commitment to member engagement and professional development through the establishment of the RMGCSA Annual Conference Stipend Program.

    To encourage participation in the Rocky Mountain Chapter Annual Conference held each November, the Association will offer four (4) stipends to assist eligible members with conference registration expenses.

    Award Information

    Four (4) RMGCSA members holding active Class A, B, C, D, or EM memberships will be eligible to receive reimbursement for their Annual Conference registration package.

    Terms and Conditions

    · Applicants must be active members of the RMGCSA at both the time of nomination and the time of the conference.

    · Applicants must be first-time attendees of the RMGCSA Annual Conference.

    · Members may be nominated by their owner, manager, peers, or through self-nomination.

    · Recipients will be reimbursed for eligible conference registration expenses upon submission of required receipts and supporting documentation.

    · Reimbursement requests must be submitted within 30 days following the conclusion of the conference.

    · Current members of the RMGCSA Board of Directors and the Rocky Mountain Environmental Golf Institute (RMEGI) Board of Directors are not eligible to receive these stipends; however, they may nominate eligible members for consideration.

    The purpose of these stipends is to encourage greater participation and representation at the Rocky Mountain Chapter Annual Conference while recognizing and supporting the involvement of our members within the Association. Recipients are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner that reflects positively on the RMGCSA and its membership throughout the conference.

    The Rocky Mountain Golf Course Superintendents Association GCSAA Trade Show and Conference Stipend

    The Rocky Mountain Golf Course Superintendents Association is proud to introduce the Rocky Mountain Golf Course Superintendents Association GCSAA Trade Show and Conference Stipend. As a member of a local chapter of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America, it is important that one can have the ability to attend the National Tradeshow and Conference. The trade show is the largest in our industry and the education provided is second to none. The RMGCSA would like to provide opportunities for our members to attend the GCSAA national Trade Show and Conference.

    Award:

    Two (2) RMGCSA members with designations of Class A, B, C, D, or EM are eligible to receive the $3,000 stipends

    Terms and Conditions of the Stipends:

    · Members may apply or be nominated to receive the stipends.

    · Applicants will be required to answer a series of questions to allow the awards committee to review and select the most appropriate recipients.

    · The recipients will be notified ahead of the conference. Recipients must submit receipts within 30 days of the event to receive the stipends. Reimbursements will be made for Conference and Education Registration, travel expenses, and lodging only.

    The application process includes a weighted scale based on questions:

    · What Class are you currently and is your membership active?

    · How long have you been a member of the RMGCSA?

    · Have you been to the GCSAA conference in the past? If so, how many times?

    · Have you served on a RMGCSA committee?

    · Why is attending the GCSAA National Conference important to you?

    Rocky Mountain Golf Course Superintendents Association National Golf Day Stipend

    The Rocky Mountain Golf Course Superintendents Association (RMGCSA) is pleased to introduce the RMGCSA National Golf Day Stipend in recognition of the commitment, leadership, and service provided by members of the Board of Directors.

    As an RMGCSA Board Member, you dedicate your time and professional expertise to representing both your facility and the Association’s membership. In addition to our continued advocacy efforts at the state level, the RMGCSA recognizes the importance of maintaining a strong presence in national legislative discussions that impact the golf industry and our profession.

    To support these efforts, the Association will offer up to two (2) annual stipends to assist eligible Board Members with travel and lodging expenses related to attendance at National Golf Day, held each year in early May in Washington, D.C.

    Stipend Terms and Conditions

    · Each stipend will provide reimbursement for eligible expenses up to a maximum of $1,000.

    · Reimbursement requests must be submitted within 30 days following the conclusion of National Golf Day and must include all applicable receipts and supporting documentation.

    · Eligible reimbursable expenses are limited to:

    o Transportation to and from the event

    o Lodging accommodations during the event

    · Meals, entertainment, and other incidental expenses are not eligible for reimbursement.

    · Applicants are encouraged to first seek financial support from their facility prior to applying for the stipend, helping provide additional Board Members the opportunity to participate.

    · Stipends will be awarded according to the following priority order:

    1. Executive Board Members

    2. Second-Year Directors

    3. First-Year Directors

    The purpose of this program is to enhance representation of the Rocky Mountain Chapter at the national level while supporting and recognizing the service of our volunteer leadership. Board Members attending National Golf Day are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner that positively reflects the RMGCSA and its membership.
